Genocide memorial visiting

Life commanded Armenians to live…

On the day of commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims, the women of “Sewing Hope for Armenia” company visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial to pay tribute to the victims.

In 1915, more than 100 years ago, Armenians lost their right to live, be and create in their homeland. Today it is our duty to go to the memorial on 24 April, because we are the generation of that enduring period and the victims of the Second Artsakh War, who again have to fight for their lives, for their homes and their livelihoods.

Laura Balayan, Piruza Hayrapetyan, Qnarik Vardanyan, Rena Avanesyan, Raya Babayan, Manya Saradjanyan, Narine Balayan, Hasmik Harutyunyan, Shushanik Aghajanyan & Carmen Hoktemberyan were there and were part of this great ceremony.

On this day we prove to the world, and to ourselves, that Armenians cannot be destroyed. Standing there at the eternal flame, we are well aware of the price of what we have, and continue to create a piece of hope for a better future.
